Religion or belief system

Paganism

A broad umbrella for diverse modern religious traditions that may draw on pre-Christian religions, polytheism, nature reverence, seasonal observance, reconstruction, revival and contemporary spiritual practice.

Context and scope

Paganism is not one uniform religion and has no single founder, doctrine, scripture or governing authority. It includes traditions such as Wicca, Druidry, Heathenry, Hellenic polytheism and other revivalist, reconstructionist or nature-centred paths. Not all Pagans practise witchcraft, and not all people who practise witchcraft are Pagan.
